How To Add a 7-Way and Brake Controller To a 2015 Ford F-150
Question:
How do I get a 4pin system work for trailer brakes or do I need to put in a 7way plug if so what do I need.

Expert Reply:
In order to activate trailer brakes you will need a seven way trailer connector and brake controller, the four way trailer connector won't allow for a brake circuit. I recommend using the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56413 which is a plug-in-play seven way. The Curt Mounting Bracket part # C67UR will also be needed.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 22292.
