The Dexter suspension kits are high quality and include "wet bolts", bronze bushings instead of nylon and thick shackles. Properly maintained these would likely outlast typical factory kits three times over! To determine which kit is right for you simply measure the distance across the equalizer and use item # K71-449-00 for 7-3/4" long, item # K71-448-00 for 6" long, or item # K71-359-00 for 5-3/4" long. I have included a picture of the 7-3/4" equalizer showing where to measure.

If the holes in the spring hangers are wallowed out and you need new weld on hangers just email me the dimensions for a recommendation.

Once you get your wet bolts installed you will need to lubricate them. If you don't already have grease and a grease gun available, just add the Lubrimatic item # L30132 Grease and gun to your cart. The grease should be rated at least GC-LB which is pretty standard. If your gun is already loaded with high speed bearing grease that will be good also.

Upon learning that you want to replace your entire suspension set up, other than the 3” round mobile home axles, and with your information that the trailer has an 8000 pound capacity, this informs us that your tandem axles must be rated for at least 4000 pounds that that the four suspension leaf springs must be rated for at least 2000 pounds each. Additionally you said you would consider the Dexter item # 8327830-EB axle in the future as it matches the hub-face to hub-face measurement of 89” and a measurement of 74” between spring seats on your current axle.

To attach your springs to your frame and equalizer, you can use the Redline # H248 Hanger Kit measuring 3-1/4” tall with 9/16” hole diameter, that fit your 1-3/4” wide springs

To attach the 1-3/4” wide springs to the existing 3” round axle you will need the Redline item # APUBR-8 U-Bolt Kits.

You may also want to consider the article I have added a link to regarding axle placement.
