For your single axle trailer you will want the fixed hanger mount to be in the front, which is the longer bracket in our kits like the # APS4, and the shorter mount for shackle to be in the rear.

This is because as your axle hits bumps in the road it not only gets pushed up, but also back. With the shackle in the back you will have the best ride quality and suspension travel.
