7 And 4 Pin Connector For A 2006 Nissan Frontier
Question:
I want to add a hitch to my 2006 Frontier w/o factory tow package. Is it possible to combine C56225 and 118267 so that I have an active 4 pin and 7 pin connector at the same time?

In order to have both a 4 pin and a 7 pin connector on your vehicle I recommend using the Replacement
Wiring Harness for Tow Ready Nissan Vehicle Wiring Harness Item # 118267. Instead of using the 7 pin connector that comes with this harness you can connect the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End Item # HM40975 and have the option to use both in one plug. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C56225 and Item # 118267 can not be used at the same time because the 118267 utilizes both plugs on the frame rail.
For a hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
Item # 75282. This hitch has a 750lb tongue weight and a 5000lb gross towing capacity. If used with weight distribution the tongue weight goes up to 800lbs and the trailer weight goes up to 8000lbs. It also has a pre welded bracket to mount your wiring accessories.
