Replacement Trailer Tire for Load Range D ST185/85R13
Question:
My boat trailer tires have become bubbly and need to be replaced. I’m concerned that the D rating isn’t enough to carry the weight. My boat weight is 2500#. What could have caused my current tires to get bubbly?

The D-rated trailer tires we offer in the size you have of ST185/80R13 like the # AM10208 have a weight capacity of 1,710 lbs when inflated to 65 psi. Most likely your tires were overheated due to excessive speed or too low of tire pressure which is what caused what happened. With two of the # AM10208 tires you'd have a total weight capacity of 3,420 lbs.
