Comparing Hitch Expander With Collar To Those Without Collar For Anti-Rattle

I notice that there are some with a lip on the 2inch and some without the lip. Is there a difference? Does it rattle less without the lip?

The Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver with 5" Rise # HT5R does not have the collar or lip as you referenced. The # HTAD has the collar and there is one benefit to the collar when using certain anti-rattle devices. For instance, the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 requires that collar to stay in place. Other options like the Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp for 2" Hitch Receivers # GY88XR don't require the collar.
