Size of Access Hole Drilling Needed to Install Curt Hitch C11380
Question:
In the installation video, it shows drilling an access hole for the rear bumper hardware, then widening with 1/2. What is the recommendation for that initial hole diameter? Secondly, I think it is mentioned in one of the comments, but to confirm. The two rear/bumper mounting points, which are drilled through the hitch, as a template, should be 17/32, correct?

Thank you for your purchase of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11380 from etrailer for your Chevy Corvette. The size of the access hole that you need to drill to install the hitch is 1-1/2 inches according to the instructions.
If you were referring to instead the hole size that needed to be drilled to get the hardware though, it was 1/4 inches in the video, which you can see at about the :50 second mark.
You are correct about the mounting hole sizes that should be drilled into the bumper beam; they are 17/32" holes.
I have added a link to the install video for you as well of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11380.
