Question:

we are running a reese mini 350 WD systemfriction type to pull a flagstaff FT21 camping trailer behind our empty 93 G20 MK III conversion van, with air helper springs air lift and air adjust shocks. TW is arround 350lbs bath scale method and 2500lbs dry weight, prob 2800 lbs with our stuff ,2X20lbs tanks and battery. My question is ,in youre opinion are we o.k with this set-up or boder line.Much of the other sysyems are rated for much more than what we have.Any ideas ?

First, with the air springs on the van, you will want to let out the air to the minimum psi rating they are rated for. Then you will hook up a weight distribution system, and then you can use the air springs to fine tune the back of the van to get it level.

I do recommend a system rated a little higher because if you are even a little over the capacity of a system it is not going to work. You also have to add the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the vehicle to the trailer tongue weight to get the total tongue weight.

I recommend a system rated for 250 to 400 pounds like # 66557. This is a friction style system that includes a shank so you will just need a properly sized ball like # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch. I have linked instructions for you.
