6,000 Pound Complete Axle Replacement

Question:

Hello, purchased This Perfect Trailer. It turned out to be homemade 66inch x12 ft long, with a Mobile Home axle, which is junk. Need a COMPLETE replacement axle. I have done some research and believe I have a #42 Dexter, about 5200 lbs. -6000 lbs. 3foot diameter. The Inner bearing of # 25580 and outer of #15245. The trailer frame is 75 1/2 inches center to center, the spring center is 71. Will be using the trailer for College moving, Firewood, hay and whatever else I can dream up. Would like a COMPLETE new axle with 6 on 5 1/2 or 8 on 6 1/2 bolt pattern. Double eye springs, electric brakes. Would like a complete set up including two wheels.

The Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes part # 8327826-EB is a 6,000 lb axle that very closely matches your trailer it has a spring center of 71.5" which can easily work with your 71" and it is 86.5" hub face to hub face keeping the tires out beyond the frame. The Kenda Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire with 16" Black Mod Wheel part # AM35010 will work out great on this axle.

For springs the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles part # e34SR and hangers Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs part # APS4 and the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles part # APUBR-8
