Parts Needed to Add 5-Way Wiring Harness to 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for Boat Trailer
Question:
How/ what would I need to install a 5 pole harness to my 2004 wrangler unlimited, for a 2009 bayliner 175

Expert Reply:
To add a 5-Way connector to your 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited I recommend using the Tekonsha T-One # 118409 and then cutting the 4-Way off and splicing in the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM47900. You will connect these 2 wiring harnesses per color and then use the blue wire to connect to your reverse light circuit on your Jeep. This will give you a 5-Way trailer connector with standard trailer light wiring as well as the reverse function needed to activate the reverse lockout solenoid on your boat trailer for your 2009 Bayliner 175
