What is the formula to calculate the correct gauge wire needed to install the MaxxTow Off-Road Lights - LED - 54 Watts - Wide Spot Beam - 4-1/2 Diameter - Qty 2 - MT80637-2? Thank you!

There isn't a formula for the wire gauge, you can simply match it up to the wire size used with this light, which is 14 gauge wire.

The wattage of the MaxxTow Off-Road Light #MT80637 is 27 that means this draws 2.25 amps per hour. Depending the amp hour rating of your battery will dictate how long that would last.

It is possible to install driving lights, like part #MT80637-2, on a kayak with a 12-volt battery to power them. You'd just want to make sure they were installed in a way to keep water off them.
