16 Inch by 6-1/2 Inch Wheel Rim Options for ST235/80R16 Load Range G Tires

Question:

Thanks Jason, The tire you recommended will fit my current wheels. However the other part of my question was the PSI. Your recommended tire is @110 psi, my wheels are rated @ 80psi. So I was looking for a solution to that. I am concerned about using a 110 psi tire on a 80 psi wheel. Is this not a concern? Shouldn't the rim and tire pressure /rating match? I feel that the rim rating should match if not exceed the rated tire pressure.

Since you have wheels that will fit the tires, you simply need to upgrade your valve stem to get the 110 psi. I recommend using the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem - 1-1/4" Long # AM20906 rated for tires over 100 psi. I've attached a video review to assist. Rim/wheels are rated for psi based only on the valve stem. Trading out the valves stem will allow your current wheels to work well with the recommended 110 psi tires.
