Electric Solenoid for Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator Channel Down
Question:
I see that you have to add a lockout to this unit if you want one and they give the part number for the mechanical lockout. Is there an electric lockout that will work? My boat trailer has one because it has disk brakes but I dont see why that wouldnt work on drums. The trailer this is going on will be used on rough terrain at times and a lockout will be necessary even with drum brakes. Also, can you recommend a 2” coupler and also a lunette coupler for this channel?

Yes, you can install the Reverse Lockout Solenoid # DM11993 so that the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM8759432 has an electric lockout. I confirmed this with my contact at Demco.
Then for a 2" coupler I recommend the Demco Trailer Coupler # DM14976-52 since it has the eZ-Latch system, and for a lunette ring we have the 3" diameter options from Demco in the following colors:
Black - # DM09557-81
Zinc (Silver) - # DM09557-95
Primed (same as the actuator) - # DM09557-97
