Will this rack work with a 27.5” tires? Will this work with a 20 tire on a kids bike?

Yes, the Yakima HoldUp 4 Bike Platform Rack # Y02443-2 will work with bikes that have wheels from 20 - 29 inches in diameter, so it will easily accommodate both your children's bike with 20 inch wheels, and your bike with 27.5 inch wheels as long as they're not wider than 3 inches.
