Recommended Platform Bike Rack Compatible With EcoHitch Invisi-Hitch on 2013 Subaru Impreza

Hi, Im planning to get the invisi ecohitch pn: 306-X7211 for my 2013 impreza sport because its a 2in receiver and does not affect my clearance. Im trying to make sure the bike rack I get will be compatible because that receiver is fairly shallow what, ~3in in total depth before it might hit the exhaust?. Im looking at the Saris MTR and also the 1up Equip-D double because I want a platform rack with only tire mount points. Do you know if either of these racks are compatible with the above invisi ecohitch model? Also, the Saris has options to add capacity, but if I have a single add-on, can I add an additional single add-on to create a 4 bike capacity? That would give more versatility than having to purchase the single add-on and the double add-on if I wanted 3 and 4 bike capacity. Thank you!

I'll start by saying that because the EcoHitch # 306-X7211 is a completely hidden receiver on your 2013 Subaru Impreza Sport, you're going to need to use a bike rack that has a bit longer shank and will get it out away from the vehicle in order to have full functionality. The length of the shank in front of (towards the exhaust) is still important, but the distance available behind the hitch pin hole is going to be more important in determining the functionality of the rack.
Because of those factors the Saris MTR SA4032 isn't really going to be a good choice for this application. Instead, I recommend using the Yakima HoldUp 2 # Y02443 since it's got a longer shank that will keep the rack away from the rear of your vehicle and is a wheel mounting rack like the MTR. You can add an additional 2 bikes to the HoldUp 2 using the Plus2 2 Bike Add-on # Y02446, but there isn't the ability to add just 1 platform to this like there is with the MTR. At the end of the day, you are going to be limited by the constraints of the EcoHitch, but the HoldUp 2 is a great solution that will still provide you with the most important functions you're looking for in a rack.
