Length of Erickson EM07600 Big Bed Load Extender
Question:
Hi there, I was reading a review on this bed extender but wanted to make sure that the information was either correct or incorrect before ordering. Please see excerpt. The length of the main support bar was previously ~ 52. This meant that when ed into the receiver, it did extend support ~ 48inch 4 ft, as noted in posted specifications. However, a while back the main support bar was shortened to ~ 46inch total. This now means that maximum extension is ~ 42inch from the hitch, a half foot shorter than the claimed 4 ft I saw a picture that you posted indicating that the length was 49 1/2inch but wanted to double check. According to my Erickson representative, their Big Bed Load Extender, part # EM07600 is 48-3/4 inches long, measured from the hitch pin hole to the rear surface of the upright, as shown in the provided photo.
