Is Lube Plate Needed When Using Pivoting Pin Box Like MorRyde Orbital Pin Box
Question:
Hi I have a MORryde Orbital Rotating Rubber pin box and Reese 5th Airborne Custom Wedge SWW-06 for a BandW Companion model 3710 hitch. I would like to use a Lube plate to keep My hitch looking new but cant see how this is going to work with a wedge. Please help me with a Yes or No. Thanks

You don't use lube plates with pivoting pin boxes like the MorRyde Orbital that you have. Since the hitch and the pin box move together and do not rub against each other when the vehicle makes a turn the hitch won't get the same type of wear that you are worried about. This is because the pin box pivots instead.
