Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Ford Explorer XLS Sport 2-Door that Keeps Full Size Spare
Question:
Does this hitch fit on a 2003 Explorer XLS Sport 2 door with the full size 16inch spare? If not what does. Also it has the factory plug under the bumper. Thanks for the help!

I have a hitch that will work on your 2003 Ford Explorer XLS Sport 2 Door and allow you to keep your factory full size spare, but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13550 will not as it is designed to be used on 4-door model Explorers.
The hitch you would want is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75096. This hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will allow you to reinstall your full sized spare once the hitch is installed. I attached installation instructions for this hitch for you to check out also.
