Converting From Electric to Electric over Hydraulic Disc Brakes on Two 7,200 lb Dexter Torflex Axles

I have a Redi-haul FSL16272E-102 trailer with factory electric drum brakes. I want to convert to electric/hydraulic disk brakes and need all the parts for that change over. The Redi-Haul cut sheet shows 2 Dexter Torflex 7,200 pound axles with 1.75 inch ID inner bearings and 1.25 ID outer bearings. 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. What do you recommend? Thanks

Thanks for the info and we have all the parts you are going to need to convert from electric to electric-over-hydraulic disk brakes, which is the best braking system you can have for a trailer (most stopping power combined with the best overall control). A Dexter Torflex 7,200 lb torsion axle uses inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # 02475 and grease seal # GS-2250DL. That info, along with the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, is all we need to know to get you the right set up, and I'll recommend the parts for you:

- Disc Brake Kit: Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - E-Coat - 7,200 lb Dexter Axle # K2HR729DE (Quantity of two for tandem axle set up)

- Electric over Hydraulic Actuator: HydraStar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # HS381-8067

- Brake Lines: HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Tandem Axle # HS496-252 (25 feet) or # HS496-152 (15 feet)

While you also are going to have a breakaway kit and junction box/7-way on your trailer already due to having electric brakes, you can choose to replace those with new options via the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with Built-In Battery Charger - Top Load # 20400 and Wiring Kit for HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuators # HS381-9000.
