Will Installing a Trailer Hitch on 2020 Nissan Murano Stop Hands Free Liftgate From Working
Question:
I'm interested in purchasing the Curt # C13205 for my 2020 Nissan Murano to carry my bike rack. When installed, will it interfere with the lift gate sensors?

Expert Reply:
According to Curt, it will interfere with the operation of the sensors at the center of the underside of the rear bumper, but if you move a little to one side or another of center, the hands-free liftgate feature will work just fine as you can see in the provided photo.
If you'll also be towing with the hitch sometime in the future, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing setup. For a wiring harness, use # C56267, use # BM68C for a ball mount and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch.
