Will the Trailer Hitch for a 2020 Nissan Murano Interfere With the Hands Free Lift Gate
Question:
I just bought a 2020 Nissan Murano and I'm looking for a hitch but I'm concerned that it will interfere with the hands-free lift gate feature. Will installing a hitch interfere with this feature? Do I need anything else? Might occasionally tow a trailer.

Good news! The Curt # C13205, which is a fit for your 2020 Nissan Murano, will still allow you to use the hands free lift-gate feature. While the area directly above the hitch receiver may not be fully functional, you'll still be able to kick your foot to the left or right of the receiver to operate the hands-free lift gate. The Curt # C13205 is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a durable gloss black powder coated finish that will provide superior resistance to rust and corrosion.
If you're going to be towing with your 2020 Nissan Murano, you'll need a wiring harness to power the trailer's lights. For that, you'll want to use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56267, which will plug in behind the tail lights on your Murano and provide you with a 4 way trailer connector.
If you don't already have a ball mount or hitch ball, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it provides you with 2 ball mounts and 2 hitch balls that will allow you to tow a variety of different trailer couplers and heights.
