Looking to get replacement bearings and seals for karavan ultra 2 place snowmobile trailer. I cant find vin number but it has bearing buddy 178 on end.

Knowing that the trailer uses a # BB1781 Bearing Buddy helps me to identify the correct replacement bearings. We carry two hubs with that bolt pattern, one with a 5 lug on 4-1/2 inch bolt circle, the other much less likely possibility is a 4 lug hub that's typically used for agricultural applications.

Your outer bearing is a # LM11949, outer race is # LM11910, and the inner bearing is likely # LM67048, which would be used with the # LM67010 race. You can confirm this by using a digital caliper and measuring the diameter of the spindle where the inner bearing would ride. The spindle diameter at that point should be 1.25 inches. If you have the 5 lug hub and the hub bore where the grease seal installs is 2.332 inches in diameter and the surface where the inner diameter of the seal rides is around 1.6 inches, you'd need the # 168233 grease seal. If you have the 4 lug hub, the replacement bearings would be the same, but you'd use the # SL150 which fits a spindle diameter of 1.50 inches.

When measuring a spindle, a ruler really won't get you the precise measurements needed. You'd be better off using a digital caliper like # PTW80157.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
