I've got good news for you. Curt offers a few Trunnion Bar Short Arm weight distribution systems that are purposely designed for V-Nose trailers with limited access to the trailer tongue.

If you were needing a system rated for a maximum 6000 lb trailer/600 lb tongue weight like the Reese # RP65509 you'd looked at, the # C17330 would work great for you. A trunnion system offers increased ground clearance compared to a round bar system like the Reese. If you drive a truck or a full size SUV, that won't make much of a difference but if you tow with a minivan or a small SUV you'll find that very helpful.

Curt offers some other short arm systems for trailers with different tongue weights. The # C17332 is best for trailers with tongue weights of 600-1000 lbs. The # C17333 would work for trailers with tongue weights of 1000-1500 lbs.

The systems include the shank, but not the trailer ball. For a 2 inch ball, use # A-90 or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.

The best way to choose the correct system is to determine the actual as-towed tongue weight of your trailer. Be sure to include the weight of anything stowed in the rear cargo area or truck bed behind the vehicle's rear axle. Each system mentioned above has an effective range of 400-500 lbs. Ideally, you'll want your trailer's tongue weight to fall right in the middle, or in the 'sweet spot' of the system you choose. That way, if your loaded weights vary a bit, you'll have plenty of wiggle roof either way without getting up against the maximum or minimum weight for the given system.

I'll link you to some help articles that explain how to determine the trailer's tongue weight along with some other articles that explain how weight distribution works.
