I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13417 for your 2020 Ford Ranger. This is a class III hitch, with a 2"x 2" receiver tube. The weight ratings are, Maximum gross trailer weight: 6,000 lbs, Maximum GTW when used with weight distribution: 8,000 lbs, Maximum tongue weight: 900 lbs, Maximum TW when used with weight distribution: 900 lbs.
Normally most hitches will exceed the capacity of the vehicle, but you want to go with the lowest rating out of all your components used, I looked up the owner's manual for your 2020 Ford Ranger and the towing capacity varies based on how the truck is equipped.
To mount wiring to the Curt hitch you would need a no drill bracket like Curt No-Drill Bracket for 6-Way or 7-Way Round Trailer Connector Mounting Bracket # C57202.
This hitch has a very straight forward install and will mount to existing holes in the frame. There's no cutting or drilling involved. It will be a little large to handle for 1 person by themselves, so I suggest you have an extra set of hands help you lift it up.
