Options to Upgrade Reese 20K 5th Wheel Hitch On Truck With Reese Above Bed Rails

I have a Reese 20K 5th wheel hitch with above bed rails. Im getting a new camper GVWR is 20K. What hitch do you recommend that would all me to keep the rails Ive already put in? Thanks,

It sounds like you are looking for a higher rated fifth wheel hitch that will work with Reese above bed base rails on your truck. If that is the case then I have plenty of options for you because the Reese above bed base rails use an industry standard pattern which will accept most fifth wheel hitches from brands such as Reese, Curt, Husky etc.
That said, I recommend the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16180. The Curt A20 has a set of dual interlocking jaws which form a tight grip on the kingpin and work to reduce chucking and jarring. The Curt A20 also has a one pin head removal system that allows for one person to remove the hitch by themselves because they can easily break it down into two pieces which saves the strain on your back. There are also built-in grease zerks on the Curt A20 for easy maintenance which are just some of the reasons that make the Curt A20 my personal favorite fifth wheel hitch.
