Installing Tekonsha Vehicle Wiring Kit # 119250KIT on 2014 Audi Q7 with Factory Trailer Wiring
Question:
Hi, I have 2014 Audi Q7 with pre-wiring for trailer hitch, its 12 pin red connector. I am attaching pre-wired connector from the car for you reference. Can I use this unit part # 119250KIT and connect wires directly to the connector instead of connecting them on the wires directly as explained the video? Appreciate your help on this. Thank you,

When installing the Tekonsha Vehicle Wiring Kit # 119250KIT on your 2014 Audi Q7 the harness wires will clamp directly to the appropriate circuit wires on the vehicle without splicing into the wire. You won't be able to attach or connect to the plug itself that you referenced.
You did reference in your question though that your Audi is equipped with trailer pre-wiring. If this is the case then there should be a round factory plug located behind the rear bumper. If this is present then a much easier option will be with the Hopkins Plug-In Simple # 41155, which will plug right into that connector to provide you with the needed 4-Way.
I have attached the written install directions below that you can also check out.
