Longer Shank for Fastway Weight Distribution System

Question:

I have a fastway 4500 lb weight distribution hitch and need a longer shank as my trailer hits the taillights on my 2014 F150 XLT super crew. The trailer is a 2017 19 foot Travel trailer Gulfstream 198bh Rocky mountain addition. The front of the trailer angles forward over the hitch then back ward. it is difficult to get into many parks spaces because you cannot cut t sharply. What hitch shank would you recommend ? I do not recommend the stabilizing job done on the trailer I have installed 30 inch stabilizer jacks on the front. you can see the way the front overhangs the hitch in the picture.

To gain clearance between the trailer and your truck you can replace the existing adjustable shank on your Fastway Weight Distribution System with the Equal-i-zer # EQ90-02-4500 (max 7" rise or 3" drop) or # EQ90-02-4600 (max 8" rise or 4" drop), both of which feature an overall length of 18 inches. This is 6" longer than the stock shank that comes with the Fastway systems and both are completely compatible.

This should hopefully give you enough to clear the tailgate when you have the trailer hooked up. I have attached a couple short video reviews that you can check out as well.
