Will the 18" Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank Increase Weight Capacity
Question:
Hello, I have a f250 and a 36 ft TT with ~875 tongue weight. I purchased the 18” equalizer shank EQ90-02-4500 so I can open my tailgate. Question is, does the longer shank increase the tongue weight at all?

The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4500 has a 1,400 lb tongue weight capacity. If you are using this shank on a system rated for less, this won't increase the capacity of the system but it can decrease the capacity of the system if using the shank on a system rated for more.
