Will the Draw-Tite Class IV Trailer Hitch Fit on a 2007 Ford F-150 With the Saleen S331 Body Kit
Question:
Hello, For the past month or so Ive been looking for a hitch for my 2007 Ford F150, preferably a class IV. Unfortunately I dont know if there is one that will work with my trucks configuration since it is a Saleen S331. The bumper is not the original Ford product and has Saleens body kit. Some of the Saleen trucks have come with a hitch and lies right behind the license plate for a true hidden hitch. Will this one work and if not, by any chance can you point me in the right dircection? Thank You.

I spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite and he said the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Class IV Hitch, # 41933, is not a confirmed fit for your 2007 Ford F-150 with the Saleen S331 body kit. That is not to say that it will not fit, the manufacturer has not had the chance to test it with the Saleen S331 kit.
I did some research and it looks like most trailer hitches that are made for the 2007 Ford F-150 will work with the Saleen S331 kit, but they will not hide behind the license plate and in some cases bumper fascia trimming was required. If any exhaust modification has been done from the factory exhaust, then this could present an issue in mounting the hitch. You may be able to contact Saleen directly for confirmed fits of trailer hitches.
I can tell you that this hitch sits beneath and flush with the back edge of the rear factory bumper.
