What is Towing Capacity of 2020 Ford Raptor F-150
Question:
The Ford Raptor has a 2020 payload capacity of 1200 pounds. I want to buy a trailer with a 823# hitch weight. If I have 1000 pounds of people and gear in the truck and I use a weight distributing hitch how much trailer hitch weight will I be able to handle?

So I looked up the towing capacity of your 2020 Ford Raptor and with a weight distribution system the most it could tow would be 8,000 lbs. That means the tongue weight capacity would then be 800 lbs so you'd have to get that figure down from what you mentioned by most likely going with a lighter weight trailer. Thankfully the payload and towing capacities are independent from each other in this application so the passenger weight you mentioned wouldn't necessarily factor in.
The Strait Line kit part # RP66083 would be a great option for your truck's towing capacity as it has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and features the best sway control that works to fight sway before it starts.
All these years later and I finally get to solve a real world math word problem...
