Identifying 7-Way Pin Function For Testing The Harness
Question:
I have a 2019 Ridgeline Honda. Installed the 118288 kit. I do not have a trailer so I want to test the harness at the ridgeline 7 pin connector to make sure it works. Need the coding of the seven pins ground, hot, turn signal, brakes, etc. of the wires so I can test using a volt meter. I will test for DC volts with the vehicle accessory turn on, such as brakes, turn signal, etc. Please help and thanks.

The attached diagram should help but for 7-way connector kits like # 118288, you can look at the functions clockwise. Purple is reverse lights at noon, Black is 12V battery power at 1:00, Green is Right turn and brake at 3:00, Blue is brake controller output at 5:00, White is ground at 7:00, Yellow Left turn and brake at 9:00, and Brown is tail and running lights at 11:00.
