Since your 2017 Honda Ridgeline has the factory 7-way connector on it you should have a wiring harness that has the standard to package plug. It's the harness that plugs into the back of the 7-way connector and looks like the picture I attached. If this is how your 7-way connects then you can simply unplug the factory connector and replace it with part # HM40950 that has both a 4-way and a 7-way connector in one.

If your factory 7-way plugs in in some other fashion let me know. Send me a picture of it if that helps.

Are the E-trailer tow converter that installs behind the back seat of the 2019 Honda Ridgeline the same part number in both the 4 wire and 7 wire kits? I installed the 4 wire kit and now I have to tow a trailer with brakes and need to install a 7 pin connector with harness to the truck harness under the bumper. If the converters are the same, what is the part number that I need for the 7 pin connector harness that connects to the truck wiring under the bumper? Thank you very much!

I really wish the harness was available by itself, but your only option will be to obtain the full Tekonsha 7-Way Kit # 118288. At least you'll have a spare converter handy in case the existing one ever happens to fail.

Thank you that pictures helps a lot. That's where your current 7-way harness plugs into the truck's wiring but the other end of that harness is not able to be unplugged from the 7-way connector. That's kind of a pain but we can work with it. What you can use is part # 118288 which replaces the harness you have at the connection point in the picture you sent me. Then use the 4- and 7-way connector I originally mentioned, part # HM40950, in place of the connector that comes with the # 118288 harness. It's more parts than what you actually need but it's the only solution to get you what yo want unless you cut off the your new truck's 7-way and wire in something like part # HM40975-11998.
