How To Choose the Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2002 Dodge Durango
Question:
My existing 4 pole trailer wiring harness had to be removed due to corrosion and a broken wire behind the tail light connection. My harness only had one 6 terminal connection to/from the drivers side tail light. It looks like your harnesses connect to both tail lights. If all connections are avaiable on drivers side, why do your harnesses connect to both sides? I need to replace, but not sure what the difference is?

There are two different trailer wiring harnesses for a 2002 Dodge Durango which will be dependent on whether or not you have the tow package. If you do have the factory tow package then you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118381 which only uses one plug but if you don't have the factory tow package then you will need to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118334 which uses two plugs.
It doesn't sound like you have the factory tow package therefore will need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118334. I am not sure how the harness you have now was able to obtain all signals from one side as the right stop/turn and left stop/turn are only ran to one side but nonetheless you will need to attach to both sides since you don't have the factory tow package.
