How To Hook Up Utility Trailer Lights To Trailer Connector
Question:
I have a trailer with a 7 way plug, and I know one of the pins is a connection to the 12v power to my truck. Is it possible to connect a wire to that one connection and power a flood light on my trailer with that power source? If so does ETrailer sell any products to help me do this?

Yes, it is possible to power a flood light via the battery charge line on the trailer connector. The battery charge line is already fused so all you would need to do is run a power wire part # 10-1-1 from the back of the trailer connector to the light. That said, you would probably want to be able to turn the light on and off at your leisure so you would also want to install a switch part # PK34212 on the power wire from the trailer connector to the light. The light would then need to be grounded to a metal surface.
I have attached a list of our utility lights for you as well.
