Will a Trailer Hitch for a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus Block the Hands Free Lift Gate Feature
Question:
I plan on installing a hitch to my 2019 Nautilus to haul a cargo carrier. Will this interfere with the lift gate? Thanks in advance!!

The installation of a trailer hitch on your 2019 Lincoln Nautilus will not have any effect on the ability to use your lift gate. If you are referring to the hands free lift gate feature then what typically happens with this is that you just simply need to place your foot on either side of the receiver tube in order to activate the sensor but it will still work nonetheless. This is the case for pretty much any vehicle with a hands free lift gate feature.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75234 because it is the only option for your Nautilus that has a hidden cross tube which means only the receiver tube will be shown once installed and this will be important for a newer vehicle to retain its sleek appearance. For a cargo carrier, I really like the 24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier part # 63153 because it has a solid shank that decreases the chance for rattle and you can add lights if needed with the LED Light Kit part # 98174LED.
I don't have any install photos on a Nautilus but I do have one on an Edge which will better explain the hidden cross tube design.
