Recommendation for Routing a Power Wire to an In-Bed Camper
Question:
I have a 2012 F350, supercab, long box truck on order. I will need to install a wire harness from the truck bed to the truck for a slide in truck camper. I plan on putting the truck bed plug on the driver side wall about a foot in the box. I like the re-inforced right angle on this wire harness but I’m not sure how to connect the other end to the power source on the truck. I want the shortest route to the power source so I don’t want to plug this into the existing trailer plug in. This harness shows 2 plugs on the end not mounted on the truck bed. Can this harness work for me or is there something else I should be looking at. Thank you.

If you are looking for just something to run a power and ground source to the bed of your truck I would recommend just getting a set of Superwinch Quick Connects # SW1551, run a wire from the positive side of your battery to the side of the connector marked with a plus sign and then repeat the same process for the negative side of your battery to the side of the connector marked with a minus sign.
You would want use zip ties to run the pair of wires from your battery to the bed of your truck avoiding any areas that might pinch, melt or otherwise damage the wire. The # SW1551 can be used with wire from 6-10 gauge also.
The opposite connectors will need to be run to the power and ground wires of your camper also.
I attached installation instructions for the # SW1551 for you to check out also.
