Solution for Needing to Carry a Cargo Carrier and Use Hitch Extender
Question:
Can you use # HR26 with a dual hitch to pull travel trailer that is 3500 pounds? My goal is to create enough room to have the travel trailer and cargo rack together

Expert Reply:
It is not recommended to use more than one hitch adapter at any given time. One hitch adapter ends up cutting the capacity of the hitch it's used in by 50 percent due to added leverage and movement.
A better option for a cargo carrier solution would be the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Carrier part # CC-255 which attaches to the a-frame rails of the trailer and gives you a platform carrier you can carry above the trailer. I attached a review video for this carrier for you to check out as well.
