Replacing Trailer Tail Lights With LEDs on Older Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have a 1970s Trailer with 4 inch Round tail lights which I wish to upgrade from Incandescent to LED. I am unsure which products to purchase to mount to my trailer. Pictures attached. Would I use the existing Light housing or replace the whole unit? The width of the mounting bracket holes to screw in the lens measures 3 and 2/8 The width of the holes on the trailer itself to mount the light are 2-1/4 In addition to finding a light that will fit, what parts do I need to mount and to convert my wiring etc. Thanks

Thank you for that photo, it was helpful! For new LED lights you will need to replace the entire unit, and you will need to replace the entire unit. Based on the 2-1/4 inch measurement, to mount new LED tail lights you are going to have to drill new holes to install them because the standard for trailer lights today is 2 inches on center.

I recommend the Trailer Tail Lights # TLL9RK.
