Hitch Recommendation for 2016 Mazda CX-5 For Carrying Scooter Carrier
Question:
We are trying to get a scooter carrier. my scooter is similar to a go go scooter and weights about 83 pounds. We had a receiver installed on our chrysler 300 but that did not work had to install an apex riser but back end of the carrier just still to close to the ground. I am now looking at buying a 2016 Mazda cx5 and am concerned that I may end up with the same problem.

The great thing about the 2016 Mazda CX-5 you are interested in is that it has much higher capacity hitches made for it like the Draw Tite part # 76138 that you referenced which has a tongue weight capacity of 675 lbs. This hitch will also sit higher than a hitch for a 300 too so you wouldn't have the ground clearance issues either.
