Recommended Roof Cargo Carrier for a 2012 Subaru Outback Limited Edition

Can you recommend a rooftop cargo box for a 2012 Subaru Outback Limited Edition with factory rack? We likely will carry bikes on the back as well.

We have a number of options that work with the factory roof rack on your 2012 Subaru Outback. My recommendation is the Thule Pulse # TH615. This box provides 16 cu/ft of storage, is lightweight and doesn't require any tools to mount to your existing crossbars. One of the great things about this cargo carrier is that not only does it mount to your 2012 Outback, it adjusts to a wide variety of crossbar spreads so it is easily transferable to a number of different vehicles.
If you are also looking for a bike rack to put those bikes on I recommend the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR . It's going to provide you with space to hold up to 4 bikes as well as the ability to tilt back for easy access to the rear hatch. It also comes with anti-sway cradles to help keep bikes stable on the rack while driving through different kinds of terrain. You also may want to add a Snug-tite hitch lock # THSTL2 for added security. In order to mount this rack, if you don't already have a factory hitch attached to your vehicle, you should consider the Draw-Tite # 75673 . It is a 2" receiver and allows you to tow a trailer if the need ever arises.
