Question:
Hi! I am picking up a new used 2008 Toyota Matrix XR and will need help with understanding how to remove the rear fascia that I keep reading so that I can buy and install a hitch for a bike rack. You should check out the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch # 60965. This hitch does not require that you remove the rear fascia on the Matrix XR models for installation. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out.
Curt does require the use of their Support Strap # 18050 with any non-trailer loads so you will want to look at it to keep within the warranty guidelines of the hitch.
Since this hitch is a Class II hitch you will need to pick out a bike rack that is compatible with a Class II hitch.
