AC units like the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner with Ceiling Vent # ACM150C draw quite a bit of current. For example this one draws 1,750 watts at 115 volts. This would be too much draw for the electrical system of your 1999 Ford F-450 and also not the correct voltage since your vehicle is a 12 volt system. You also have to consider that you'd be most likely running this when the vehicle isn't running which would kill the battery very quickly.
Something like the # 289-AP5000 should be plenty sufficient. It has a starting output of 5,000 watts and a running output of 4,000 watts.
