You can absolutely add the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56349 to your 2018 Toyota Tacoma that does not have the factory tow package. Installing this connector in your truck will only require you to plug it into connection points behind your taillights and run a hot lead to your battery like in the linked installation video I added for you.
Additionally, I also highly recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector; using it will increase your 4-way's durability and extend its lifespan. To mount the 4-way I recommend the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58001.
