Available Formulas of Wheel Bearing Grease for Use in Dexter Hubs

Is LubriMatic Marine Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease an approved grease for Dexter EZ Lube axles?

Dexter EZ-Lube axles can use any formula of wheel bearing grease including the LubriMatic Marine Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease # L54FR.
Some formulas are made for specific applications; marine wheel bearing grease is especially formulated to resist water. LMX red grease # L11390 is made specifically for high pressure/high temperature industrial applications but it can also be used in trailer wheel bearings. You may care to check out the linked article that covers the different grease formulas.
What is very important to note is that some grease formulations are not compatible with each other. The article has a table that show which types of grease are compatible with each other. If you want to change grease formulas it is important to get all of the old grease out of the hubs/bearings.
