Installing the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # 20099 is a pretty easy process; I've linked the installation instructions for you and the diagram I added is from those instructions.
First you need to mount it on a flat surface on your trailer; if you can't find one I recommend using the Weld-on Trailer Frame Mounting Plate for Hopkins Engager Breakaway Kit # HM20107.
After that you will wire one of the wires from the breakaway switch to the trailer brake wire for the trailer connector and the other wire from the switch will splice into the brake wire from the break-away box. The white wire from the break-away box will splice into your connector's ground wire and the black wire will splice into the 12-volt wire from your connector.
To make the splicing easier I recommend using Butt Connectors # DW05744-5.
