Installing Gen-Y Stabilizer Bar 325-GH-0100 on 1999 Suburban Without Frame Access

Question:

I bought the 325-GH-0100 stabilizers with the 15-inch Gen-y hitch, to put on my 1999 K2500 Suburban LT. It has a 6-inch suspension lift and 3-inch body lift, and 37-inch tires. It has what I believe is a class-IV hitch frame. I dont see a good place to attach the stabilizers to the hitch frame or truck frame, because the hitch frame embraces the gas tank, and the tail pipes run along the outside of the hitch frame. Need some thoughts on what might work.

The Gen-Y Stabilizer Bar Kit for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mounts # 325-GH-0100 give you a bar length adjustment range of 24- to 33-inches which works for most installations. The bar ends have to be affixed to the vehicle's frame for them to properly do their job of stabilizing the ball mount. They really won't do much if attached to the hitch. The further away the frame mounting point is from the hitch the better the system works.

If there is no available spot on the frame for the bar mounts to be bolted or welded on then the only way around this is to add material, welded to the frame. For recommendations on this process I suggest sending a number of photos to Gen-Y. Their team was just recently here at etrailer and they're really nice folks that are happy to help owners get their products installed safely and effectively.
