For starters, if your 2013 GMC Savana 2500 came with a factor 7-way trailer connector the the four wires you will need to install a brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 are already ran for you under the driver dash up by the emergency brake pedal. They are blunt cut wires with the following colors; black for ground, red/white for 12 volt power, dark blue for brake output, and light blue for stop light circuit.

If your 2013 GMC Savana 2500 did not come with a factor 7-way trailer connector then you will need to run each of the four wires for the brake controller yourself. We actually have a video of this process which I have attached for you. As you can see at around the 14:00 mark the stop light switch circuit cannot be obtained from behind the brake pedal therefore you will need to splice into this circuit on the ENGINE BAY fuse block not the fuse block under the driver seat using a fuse tap, the Firestone Fuse Circuit Tap Kit part # F2526. The correct fuse that you will need to place the fuse tap on is in the 68 position which is the same as in the video.
