Does Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Stay On All the Time

on a 2005 ford f250 super-duty xlt 7 prong. does the unit stay on all the time with the key turned off? i purchased the harness also that hooks to factory to controller also

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 goes into a sleep/power saving mode after it doesn't detect any movement for 15 minutes (and the vehicle is turned off). If you are concerned that the unit is staying fully powered beyond this span you can simply exit your truck and come back after about 15 minutes to peak in through the window to make sure it is turned off.
The correct Plug-In Adapter for your 2005 Ford F-250 is part # 3065-P. One end of the adapter will plug into the brake controller and the other will go to the factory port behind the dash.
