Taller Fifth Wheel Rail Recommendation for 2003 Ford Super Duty F-Series
Question:
I have a set of Reese rails that came with my truck. I bought a BandW hitch and have been having issues with removing the mounting pins to remove the hitch. There doesnt seem to be enough room to get a grip on the pins between the bed and slider. It looks like the BandW rails are taller and may give me more room to get at the pins? Is it possible to get the rail height from the mounting surface to the top of the rail?

If you are looking for a set of taller fifth wheel rails the Reese Outboard rails are taller than the standard rails you have in your truck. For a custom set of these rails for your 2003 Ford Super Duty you'd want the part # RP56005-53 and you'd be set. These rails are right at 3/4 inch taller than what you have. I attached an install video link for these rails on a similar Ford truck as yours as well.
The holes on the B and W rails you mentioned are 1-3/4 inches from the floor of the truck.
