For your 2 inch diameter shank we only have the coarse thread option for the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball. If you can make that work, we have the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - 2" Diameter x 3-1/2" Long Shank - Raw - 30,000 lbs # BWHB94009 and the similar Curt # C40088.

I have a similar need and I bought the Curt 40088. How do you tighten it when the plate is threaded and the only thing that turns is the ball? I dont want to score the ball with a pipe wrench but is that the only way?

In this scenario a pipe wrench would be your best bet. Typically threaded gooseneck balls would have wrench flats on the base that you could use but in your case you could just try putting a cloth/rag over the ball to protect it when tightening it down.
